Oregon Trail Chapter operating five shelters during flood response

The Oregon Trail Chapter of the American Red Cross is currently operating five shelters in response to current weather events in Oregon. Overnight, according to the National Shelter System, 370 individuals were housed in shelters.

Tillamook County Fairgrounds – 4603 E. 3rd St.

Faulconer-Chapman Elementary in Sheridan – 332 SW Cornwall St.

Garibaldi Community Fire Hall – 107 6th St.

Plymouth Presbyterian Church in St. Helens, 2615 Skyes Road.

Columbia City Community Center, 2705 6th St.

The Red Cross is also providing additional support to eight partner centers:

In Veronia: St. Marty’s Catholic Church, Lincoln Grade School, Cedar Ridge Sports Camp, and Seventh Day Adventist Church. (Note: Veronia area shelters may be consolidated into the Cedar Ridge Sports Camp. Listen to local reports and visit this site for updated information.)

In McMinnville at the Hillside Retirement Center.

In Cannon Beach at the Cannon Beach Presbyterian Church.

In Warrenton at Camp Rilea.

In North Plains at the North Plains Christian Community Church.

Additionally, the Southern Baptist kitchen at St. Helens High School is preparing meals, which the Red Cross will help distribute.
